Beau Monde NYC Fashion Trip

Students from The Art Institute of Indianapolis will visit NYC for a 5-day trip during their fall break to learn about the fashion industry and get a little slice of NYC life. Some may be taking their first trip on the subway and eating their first New York slice, but all will experience the city as fashion insiders.
Experiences planned are eclectic but all relate to fashion in some way. Students will get to visit Chelsea Market (a venue for young designers), tour a Jewelry Design Production Studio, and take in the Garment District and MoMA. Broadway is definitely on the itinerary. Students will have the opportunity to attend a workshop by a Broadway Costume Designer and will see the Broadway show "Kinky Boots". To unwind, a shopping trip to Greenwich Village and SoHo is perfect.
Students raised money for their trip by selling their maker wares and improving their craft. They are excited and more than ready to go.
It all makes me wish I were a fashion student at Ai Indianapolis!
