Culinary Student Wins Ticket to Young Chef Competition Hosted by Ment'or

(Inland Empire, September 2015) Ment'or, a nonprofit organization devoted to inspiring culinary excellence in young professionals, hosted its 2nd Annual Young Chef Competition to help find up-and-coming culinary leaders and future ambassadors for the culinary arts. These public competitions took place in four different cities across the country. Young chefs were asked to demonstrate their technical skills and creativity in a spirited and challenging contest.
Students from The Art Institute of California - Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University entered an essay competition to win a ticket to the event in Los Angeles in August. Farrah Hsu, a student in Culinary Management with a Bachelor of Science degree won a free ticket to the event which she attended with instructor Chef Liz Thompson. After graduation, Farrah Hsu will return to her home in Taiwan to spend a year at the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism and afterwards intends to return to Southern California and work for a cruise line.
