Gallery Exhibit “Creative Dynamics: Art Through Technology” Now Open
February 2, 2018
The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, held an opening reception on January 25, 2018 for a new gallery exhibition titled “Creative Dynamics - Art Through Technology.”
This innovative art exhibition highlights the creative potential of augmented reality technology, which can allow users to bring two-dimensional surfaces to life and to share those interactive experiences with others.
Featuring work by Inland Empire art instructor Renee Brandenburg, the works on display exemplify how augmented reality can open up new ways of both creating and viewing art. To view the art in motion, attendees downloaded the augmented reality app HP Reveal (formerly named Aurasma). By opening this augmented reality app and holding their device in front of the art, the attendees were treated to an interactive viewing experience. The subjects of the 15 artworks available for viewing include natural scenes and people, as well as colorful abstract imagery.
Over refreshments and appetizers, the attendees mingled with Renee, asking questions about her artwork and networking with Ai students and guests from off campus. This Inland Empire art exhibit runs through March in our main gallery and is open to the public. Don’t miss your chance to experience art through augmented reality technology! See this exhibition for yourself at 674 East Brier Drive / San Bernardino, CA 92408.
The Gallery Director at The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire is John Luer. Our Assistant Gallery Director / Editor is Dorreen Peterson Davis.
