The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, will be a partner sponsor for the 2017 Chef Open in Temecula, CA. The event takes place September 11, 2017 at the Grand Ballroom of Pechanga Resort and Casino. At the Chef Open, southern California chefs compete for votes in the hopes of winning the Pinnacle Award from a panel of culinary judges. The event benefits the Oak Grove Center for Education Treatment & The Arts

Students in the school’s culinary programs will volunteer at the charity fundraiser occurring during the event. They’ll assist chefs in the ballroom, prep food, and run food while interacting with judges.

Five chefs with connections to The Art Institutes will participate in judging:
From The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire: Instructors Chef Cook, Chef Ramsey, and Chef Matheson. Chef Amanda Martin, who in 2016 earned an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from the school, will also judge. Chef Rossi from The Art Institute of California—Hollywood, will travel to the resort to judge.
