Inland Empire Campus Welcomes San Bernardino Chamber of Commerce Leadership Group
March 19, 2018
The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, was recently visited by the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce’s leadership group. The group was participating in annual the “Hidden Gem” tour, which identifies special locations within the region. They took a 45-minute tour of the school and met with Chef Lee Van On—academic program chair for Culinary—and a culinary student.
In the professional kitchens at the school, the group enjoyed a live demo on how to make liquid nitrogen ice cream—and sampled the finished product with toppings including strawberry caviar pearls. Additionally, participants met campus president Matthew Madrid, institutional director of student services Colleen Manfro, director of campus relations Desi Massei, and director of admissions Jorge Ureta. Alondra Pelayo, who is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Advertising, also talked with the group. Alondra also earned an Associate of Science in Fashion Marketing in 2017 from the school.
The tour also stopped in the audio and film department where students were using the recording studio and shooting a music video in front of the green screen.
The San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing strong leadership in serving the interest of San Bernardino business. It’s focused on promoting the local economy by encouraging Chamber members and San Bernardino residents to shop locally.
