Miles Ornelas, who in 2017 earned a Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production from The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, premiered MUNDO at the California Theater of Performing Arts. The premiere took place on July 22, 2017 and Ornelas was both producer and cinematographer of the film.

MUNDO is the story of a young Chicano as he’s pushed to the streets by an alcoholic father, finally finding “family” in the Los Angeles gang culture. After a violent crime sends him into a downward spiral, he finds himself living a vicious penitentiary life and joins a notorious prison gang. “Machine Gun Mundo” then works his way to enforcer status—and discovers the love of his life. An unexpected witness sends him back to prison, resulting in the loss of his love—and all seems hopeless until redemption finds him in the unlikeliest of places.
