The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, is participating in the City of Redlands “Santa’s Elf for a Senior” program.

The program is hosted by the Joslyn and Redland’s Senior Centers. The seniors living in the facilities may request holiday items for their Christmas wish list. Each senior writes his or her wish list on an ornament, which are placed on Christmas trees at each center. Community members and businesses then choose an ornament and serve as one of Santa’s elves.

The items from the list are returned to the center, gift wrapped, and given to the seniors at a holiday luncheon. This year, The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire will be shopping for two residents at the Joslyn Center, who requested items including lap blankets, tennis shoes, sweaters, and sunglasses.
