The Art Institute of California – Inland Empire Hosts International Interior Design Association
May 27, 2015
(Inland Empire, May 2015) The Southern California Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) held their monthly meeting at The Art Institute of California - Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University on April 21. Approximately 40 design professionals and students from around the Inland Empire area attended this meeting and earned an Interior Design Continuing Educational Council (IDCEC) approved Continuing Education Unit (CEU).
The CEU presented by the Architecture and Design Manager Mary Donatelle, Certified Interior Designer (CID) from Allsteel titled, "Managing Workplace Change" provided a unique perspective on transformation; how a designer may develop a workplace change program for their clients. The presentation provided a foundation into human behavior and how that could impact change management as well as information on how people typically deal with change and key components of a successful change program.
The educational evening included fun and entertainment. A gallery environment was set up by The Art Institute of California – Inland Empire interior design students for visitors to browse while enjoying food prepared by The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of California - Inland Empire. Two student IIDA memberships for the 2015 year were raffled off, along with other creative prizes sponsored by local design representatives.
