On April 22, 2016, Campus President Matthew Madrid attended the “State of the City Address” for The City of San Bernardino, hosted by Mayor Carey Davis.
In attendance were council members representing various City Wards, assembly member Cheryl Brown, Senator Mike Morrell, Congressman Pete Aguilar, and other distinguished guests. In the photo, Campus President Matthew Madrid is standing next to the “SB Strong” wall at the State of the City address.
The address included building unity and developing a springboard for success for San Bernardino’s future. Through his speech, Mayor Davis discussed developing partnerships in education. While recognizing education as an important stepping-stone to the growth of the City, Mayor Davis recognized several educational institutions including California State University, San Bernardino; San Bernardino Valley College; and The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University.
On display that evening was the “SB Strong” logo designed by Juan Aguilar, who in 2012 earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire.
