Camilla Goetz is a pastry chef at Wilma & Frieda in Palm Desert, California. “I love that I get to be creative every day and I love knowing that through my creativity, I have many opportunities,” she says.

Her proudest professional moment was performing a demo on the Food Network Show “Diners Drive-ins, and Dives.” She states that current students need to understand the reality of the culinary industry. “You’re going to fail sometimes. Be tough and know that when you fail, you can get back up.” 

Camilla, who in 2016 earned an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, says that her business classes helped her to learn another side of the culinary industry. “Those classes were a vital part [of my education] and set me apart from other people in the industry.”
