Università dei Sapori, The Art Institutes system of schools’ partner school in Italy, has developed a culinary contest in partnership with Urbani Tartufi, the world leader in truffle products, that invites Art Institutes students to create their best truffle recipes for the opportunity to participate in an immersive culinary experience in Italy. The competition is open to all culinary students from The Art Institutes and Università dei Sapori’s other partner culinary school, Kendall College in Chicago. The competition challenges teams of two students to create the best original dishes based on truffle, including a Chef's tasting and a main course. Truffle products will be provided by Urbani USA to allow students to practice their dishes.

Instructor Kicking It on Kickstarter

Anthony Sato, Game Art & Design instructor at The Art Institutes International – Kansas City, recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for Pocket Odyssey, a tabletop micro-role playing game he created. Just 10 days into the campaign, he exceeded his $5,000 goal, raising more than $39,000. Sato’s campaign was also featured in Kickstarter’s 100 cool projects email and was in the number one spot on’s top 10 popular projects.The Art Institutes International—Kansas City is one of The Art Institutes, a system of over 50 schools throughout North America.
