Notice to Students and Prospective Students

At its August 2019 meeting, ACICS continued the Art Institute of Las Vegas on “show-cause” due to concerns that the Institute is in material noncompliance with accreditation standards. ACICS directed the school to demonstrate how it can continue to meet ACICS’s standards at an in-person hearing at its December 2019 meeting. During this time, The Art Institute of Las Vegas remains accredited, students remain eligible for Title IV funding, and students are not required to take any action.

ACICS previously placed the Institute on student achievement show-cause because of material noncompliance with placement standards, having reported a 49% on the 2018 Campus Accountability Report. The Drafting Technology and Design academic associate’s program and the Fashion and Retail Management bachelor’s program at the Art Institute of Las Vegas were previously placed on student achievement show-cause due to material noncompliance with the ACICS retention and placement rate standard of 60%.
