Miami Student Lien Nguyen Earns $1,000 Fashion Scholarship

Fashion students from Miami International University of Art & Design recently had the opportunity to create garments for the Bloomingdale’s “Top 10 Countries” design exhibit Bloomingdales incorporated the students’ designs into the event’s fashion show and cocktail reception. At the conclusion of the evening, student Lien Nguyen, who is working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design, was presented with a $1,000 scholarship for her winning design. Nguyen’s fashion represented the country of Chile. The designs were shown in Bloomingdale’s Aventura flagship store for two weeks.
