Miami Fashion Students Create Designs for Hispanic Heritage Month

By: The Art Institutes

December 20, 2016

Perry Ellis International recently sponsored fashion competitions at Miami International University of Art & Design. The competition was focused on the theme of Guayabera (true Cuba).

Fashion Design students were challenged to create men’s and women’s fashions while Fashion Merchandising students were challenged to create windows inspired by the traditions of Cuba.

All of the clothing designs were taken to New York, where they were displayed in an exhibition and fashion show in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The exhibit was covered by Hombre Magazine: http://hombre1.com/cubavera-mens-rtw-launches-in-nyc-celebrating-hispanic-heritage-month/
