What’s better than seeing one of your favorite social videos win a Telly Award? Participating on the Awards’ 2022 Judging Council and helping to choose the winners alongside a diverse group of industry experts.

Kyle W. Farley, faculty member at Miami International University of Art & Design, was selected as a judge for the 43rd annual Telly Awards, which were announced on May 24, 2022. Farley said that “after many years of participating in and winning Telly Awards, I [was] honored to join the 2022 Judging Council,” which included professionals from companies including A24, HBO, Weta Digital, NAB, Comcast, and Electronic Arts.

This year’s panel celebrated what the Telly’s calls “the reemergence of our industry to a transformed world, equipped with new tools and a new point of view.” The judges were presented with over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents—submitted by advertising agencies, television stations, production companies, and publishers.

Farley, who is also a 2009 graduate of Miami International University of Art & Design with a Master of Fine Arts in Film, added, “I couldn't be more excited to participate in this industry-leading competition recognizing distinction in creative work.”
