During 2022 Miami Swim week, students and graduates of Miami International University of Art & Design showcased their fashion designs at the annual Swim Show at Paraiso Miami Beach. This was the first year that both graduates and students presented together in the show—which paid homage to the school’s 57-year history in the community.

The runway event, which took place on July 14 at the beginning of prestigious Swim Week, demonstrated the designers’ “hard work [and] honored [the school’s] legacy through unique collections," said Oscar Lopez, Fashion Department Chair at Miami International University of Art & Design. The work of 25 designers was featured, including 10 students, 10 recent graduates, and five featured alumni. These artists created a total of 46 different looks for Swim Week's discerning international audience.
