Miami International University of Art & Design Names Winning Designers in Swim Week Fashion Show

On July 16, more than 60 fashion students at Miami International University of Art & Design showed off their creativity, talent and hard work as part the campus’ Swim Week fashion show, held at the Funkshion Fashion Tent in Miami Beach. The show featured swimwear and resort wear, menswear and womenswear. The fashion show was judged, and the Perry Ellis Awards went to the following students:

PERRY ELLIS WOMEN’S WEAR AWARDS

o   Stephanie Castanon (Student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design degree program) – black cut out with sheer body swimsuit, with sequins in bright colors that turned into black in a battle jacket

o   Virginie Romier (2015 Graduate with an Associate of Arts in Fashion Design)  - Neoprene color blocked bikini with a lime green plastic hooded cover-up

Ø  PERRY ELLIS MENSWEAR AWARDS                         

o   Kami Lim (Student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design degree program) – floral print short and jacket, which turns into a gym bag
