Miami Student’s Thesis Exhibition Featured in “Miami Herald”
July 1, 2016
Kareem David Piper, who is working toward a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Arts at Miami International University of Art & Design, will show his MFA thesis in an exhibition titled “Metaxy and the Magic City” in the Yo Miami space in the Little Haiti Gallery through July 21, 2016.
Piper’s works are intended to reflect the contemporary human condition of existing in a transient state and how that relates to the culture of Miami. His paintings are inspired by both his experiences at Miami International University of Art & Design and the neighborhood surrounding his downtown studio.
