Miami Visual Arts Student and Grad Featured in “Young Arts Initiative”
August 8, 2016
Galit Garzon, who is working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Miami International University of Art & Design, and Alejandra Estefania, who earned the same degree in 2014, were recently featured in the “Young Arts Initiative” held during Swim Week at SLS South Beach hotel.
Galit’s interactive installation focused on the theme of “the perception of the utopic human figure” while Alejandra’s live performance painting demonstrated the “interconnectivity of beings throughout history, time, and other worlds.” =
The event had over 1,500 attendees and featured up-and-coming designers and artists who create a unique hybrid between fashion and art.
