In this master's degree program, you’ll study business, management, and technology as you have the opportunity to learn to work as a team member and develop both your creative and business skills. We’ll show you how to manage a staff of designers from a business perspective. You’ll be surrounded and inspired by other talented, creatively driven students. If you see yourself leading a team of creative people, here are two things that will help: A serious work ethic and our Design & Media Management graduate program. This is a rigorous program that was created to help students pursue opportunities in management in a range of art and design settings. The program encompasses art and business, design and data analysis, and media and business skills. You’ll choose either a Design Management or Media Arts Management focus as you explore the theory and practice of inspiring people to do their best work.

The field of design management isn’t for everyone. It’s for left-and-right-brain thinkers who thrive under pressure and step up when things get tough. And our program won’t pull any punches. The design manager is a thinker, an artist, an entrepreneur, and a bridge builder who puts a project together and steers it to completion. We’ll show you the business of thinking creatively, managing the creative flow, and helping to foster the best work. You’ll study such areas as the business of branding and the strategy of design. We’ll show you how to use creative techniques to solve business problems. You’ll explore areas including business, management, technology, marketing, consumer behavior, and public relations. We’ll teach you how to manage people, projects, creativity and innovation, and how to apply what you’ve learned to create a business plan.
