Jenny Mendoza is working as a senior graphic designer for Erin Condren Design in Los Angeles, CA. She’s part of the team responsible for creating designs for products and promotions. She also oversees website and marketing design for the company’s e-commerce site. “I love that work rarely feels like work, even if I’m pulling an all nighter or need to meet an important deadline. I genuinely love my job.”

Jenny started with Erin Condren Design shortly after graduation—beginning at the bottom and working her way up. “I knew I found someplace special [and though] I graduated in the middle of a recession, I was determined to tough it out and I’m glad I did.” Jenny’s passion for creativity began as a child, and she’s thankful that her family encouraged her to foster her creativity. “All my siblings are engineers. And [I knew] I wanted to be an artist.”

Jenny, who in 2008 earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Miami International University of Art & Design, had previously studied photography at The Art Institute of Philadelphia before switching to graphic design. She says that her education helped her to learn the technical side of being creative. “Being at an art [school] was just inspiring.
