Fashion Show Offers Escape to the World of Fashion
(Atlanta, GA,May 21, 2013) Bachelor of Arts in Fashion & Retail Management students at The Art Institute of Atlanta aim to “Make Fashion Not War” for at least one night with their fashion show of the same name. “Make Fashion Not War” presents a collection of women’s looks that harken back to times of war while suggesting the country’s hope for peace. Says Bianca Greer, a student in the bachelor of arts in Fashion & Retail Management program and the show’s publicity director, “Although there is unrest in the world, one thing stands true and that’s the world’s admiration for fashion. Our purpose is to relieve the current tension of our society for one night and to escape to a world of fashion.”
The show takes place on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 7 pm, at Blue Mark Studios, 892 Jefferson Street, Atlanta, GA 30318, a renovated 110-year-old church close to Puritan Mills and the King Plow Art Center in West Atlanta that offers an art gallery, artist studios and work suites as well as a ballroom.
