On June 8th, 2017, The Art Institute of California—Orange County, a campus of Argosy University, hosted our first “Artfest,” a celebration of the talents and accomplishments of the faculty, students, and alumni of Ai.

The event began with a BBQ thrown down by our culinary faculty and their students. The BBQ was held in front of the campus. Original beats produced by our students could be heard as attendees grubbed on our delicious food. Carnivores and herbivores were treated with equal care. At the Open Mic event, members of the community paraded their talents on stage in “The Aussie Gallery.”

Our newest gallery exhibit, “Love & Violence,” opened to the public during this event. The exhibit includes four “rooms” with custom installations developed by students over the past quarter in our specialized “Gallery Exhibit” course. A campus-wide Artwalk was held, which featured the combined talents of our students and faculty, live music, henna tattoos, photo booths, face painting, film openings, and so much more.
