Gaby Aurora, who in 2015 earned a Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production from The Art Institute of California—Orange County, a campus of Argosy University, recently began a job as art department coordinator on the Warner Brothers’ show The Real. The show is a daily, one-hour Emmy® nominated talk show broadcast on Fox Television stations and in national syndication with a rebroadcast on cable network BET.

Aurora recently shared a photo of herself on set with some encouraging words for her Orange County campus family.

“Some call it luck,” she said. “I call it pure determination. Don't ever give up on your dreams. It was a long journey, but not a silent one. After graduating, going back to my old job was not an option for me. I instead took every job that came my way that had to do with film or television, no matter the hours or pay.”

Aurora networked and let anyone she encountered know of her interest in breaking into the entertainment industry. “Now, I work with an amazing art director who has taken me under his wing, not just because he sees potential, but because he sees a fiery passion in me,” she added.
