Philadelphia Students Create Virtual Reality Shopping Spree
December 21, 2016
Students working toward a Bachelor of Science or an Associate of Science in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production at The Art Institute of Philadelphia recently took a “field trip” to a retail store. The students filmed the inside of the store from every angle to ensure that they captured everything—to give the best virtual reality experience. The students then returned to campus to edit the footage and create a full virtual reality experience.
When they concluded the project, the students took turns trying on virtual reality gear going on a virtual shopping excursion—all from within The Art Institute of Philadelphia student lounge. The students said that the experience was so real that they felt as if they were still standing inside of the bricks and mortar store.
