Art Institutes

Welcome to The Art Institute of Phoenix

Chad Williams,
President, The Art Institute of Phoenix

What about your campus inspires you the most?

We are most proud of our creative, collaborative community that supports student success, along with faculty and staff engagement and development. Our institution prides itself on working with creative individuals to complete their educational credentials so that they can transition into productive entry-level careers, where their passion and creative skills can aid them in making their own unique stamp on the world.

What is it about your school that is particularly notable?

Creativity and collaboration are what sets us apart. The Art Institute of Phoenix is a place where aspiring culinary artists can collaborate with future graphic designers on projects like restaurant logos, or photography students can partner with fashion students on fashion shoots. The result is a rich and dynamic experience that pushes the boundaries of creativity and fosters the ability of students to communicate and work as part of a team. The resulting artwork is displayed all over the campus as a representation of the campus culture, and acts as inspiration to students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors.

What are you most proud of?

The Art Institute of Phoenix takes great pride in contributing to the workforce readiness of the metropolitan area by educating creative professionals in the areas of Media Arts, Design, Fashion, and Culinary. In fact, the institution has produced over 4,600 graduates during the past 20 years.

Tell us some interesting facts about Ai Phoenix.

We just celebrated our 20th anniversary. Our campus community is active in the valley and aims to foster partnerships that enhance student success and their overall experience. Recently we have had tremendous experiences collaborating with organizations like Phoenix Fashion Week, Phoenix Mercury, United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona, Phoenix Film Festival, AIGA Design Week, Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, and Comicon. And we are ecstatic about the fact we just sent an Art Institute of Phoenix student to NYC to represent our community at New York Fashion Week.
