(Phoenix, July 2015)  The Arizona Republic recently honored The Art Institute of Phoenix graphic design instructor Alison King (@modernphoenix) as one their ten favorite Instagram users in Arizona

Instructor King documents midcentury modern architecture, interiors, graphic design, and monumental signage arts across the state. This summer she let The Art Institute of Phoenix #AIPXcreature #Designosaur take over her Instagram account as she blitzed across Southern California on #sabbatication. The high point was visiting the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, where she pulled up 110-year old magazines from their archives to study and expand her Design History class presentation on the Vienna Secessionist period — because that’s #howprofessorsroll. Not surprisingly King also teaches the art of social media, sharing her practical experience with Instagram and Facebook in the Graphic Design and Advertising programs at The Art Institute of Phoenix.

The Art Institute of Phoenix is one of The Art Institutes, a system of over 50 schools throughout North America. Programs, credential levels, technology, and scheduling options vary by school and are subject to change. Not all online programs are available to residents of all U.S. states. Several institutions included in The Art Institutes system are campuses of South University or Argosy University.
