Fashion Students Put Their Spin on the Classic White Shirt
October 27, 2015
Fashion students at The Art Institute of Phoenix were invited to put their own unique spin on the classic white shirt in celebration of The White Shirt According to Me: Gianfranco Ferré exhibit at Phoenix Art Museum. Ten students each created a white shirt that will be on display during First Fridays at Phoenix Art Museum’s La Dolce Vita Garden Party.

Each student went through a design process that included research and development, sketching and designing the garment, and making a mini prototype, before creating the full-size final product. The ten shirts include both women’s and menswear, and encompass a variety of styles – from a strait jacket-inspired shirt to a tailored top with intricate pleat and button details.
