On May 9, 2016, students, faculty, and staff from The Art Institute of Phoenix attended Phoenix Mercury Media Day. The school was recognized for transforming 20 of the Phoenix Mercury’s basketballs into artistic creations representing 20 key moments of the team’s history in the WNBA. The students, faculty, and staff were able to meet the Mercury players and get autographs as well as speak with the team and media about their basketball transformation projects.

The Phoenix Mercury will be officially presenting the basketballs on May 20, 2016. The basketballs will be on display and later auctioned off to support charity.
