Pittsburgh Students Create Costume, Makeup for Penguins Defenseman Kris Letang
November 6, 2017
For the second year in a row, Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang and his wife, Catherine Laflamme, turned to students from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh to create stunning Halloween costumes. Tyler Ulens and Marissa Smith, who are working toward a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Design, created custom Ice King and Queen costumes, inspired by the show “Game of Thrones,” for the couple.
The costumes were on the “Best of the NHL” list created by Mary Clarke and Satchel Price of SB Nation.
In 2016, Tyler and Marissa created custom pirate and mermaid costumes for the Letangs. The concept was inspired by the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
