The Art Institute of Pittsburgh’s Chef Culp Prepares Thanksgiving Feast at James Beard House

Chef Shawn Culp, Culinary Chair of The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, was one of the chefs preparing epicurean dishes for this year’s James Beard Foundation’s Thanksgiving Holiday Table. The event took place at the James Beard House in New York City.
A Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation (ACF), Chef Culp is an active member of the ACF Pittsburgh Chapter as well as the Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs, Bailliage de Pittsburgh. No stranger to competition, Chef Culp has competed with ACF Regional Team USA at the Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany, were his team received a silver medal and fourth place overall. Chef Culp is the ACF Culinary Youth Team USA Coach. He’s received numerous medals in ACF sanctioned competitions and was awarded a Culinary Oscar at The Greenbrier Resort. Chef Culp has chaired two and judged four ACF competitions, and served as a coach for the ACF Pittsburgh Chapter, 2010 Junior Hot Foods Team.
