The Passion for Fashion Competition offers young fashionistas the opportunity to match their skills against others who share their passion and to earn a fashion tuition scholarship to an Art Institutes school.
“I never expected to do as well as I did. I just decided that it was going to be fun, and see what happens,” said Aaron Wardwell, national third place winner of the 2007 Passion for Fashion Competition in Fashion Design. Aaron attended The Art Institute of Indianapolis, a branch of The Art Institute of Phoenix, and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design. His advice to other high school seniors thinking about entering the competition: “Take advantage of every opportunity. Take every chance.”
To be eligible to enter, a student must be a high school senior scheduled to graduate in 2012. There are two categories in The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition. In the Fashion Design category, entry requirements include submission of an original evening wear design.
