Pittsburgh culinary student wins S.Pellegrino “Almost Famous Chef” Signature Dish award at Napa competition

Vincent Brady, who is working toward an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, won the Signature Dish competition at the national S.Pellegrino “Almost Famous Chef” finals, Sunday March 13 in Napa, California.
Brady received a $2,500 prize for his crispy skinned duck breast and braised duck ravioli with sautéed winter root vegetables and beet silk.
He competed against four other culinary students from Le Cordon Bleu, Nashville State Community College, and Trident Technical College. Brady’s mentor was The Art Institute of Pittsburgh faculty member, Chef Joe Bello.
Marcio Florez of Nashville State Community College was named the competition’s overall winner.
