To me, this work is not just an assignment, it is a project. I'm following requirements to complete a project that pleases my client (i.e. my teacher). Megan Dusenberry Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design, 2016 , The Art Institute of Pittsburgh
What was the inspiration for your artwork?
“Most of the time, I am creating artwork for class. To me, this work is not just an assignment, it is a project. I’m following requirements to complete a project that pleases my client (i.e. my teacher). This specific assignment was created for my Editorial Design course and is based on a cyber-warfare article. I drew inspiration from illustration artist, Harry Campbell.”
What are we seeing in your piece and how did you go about creating it?
“This illustration is of a grenade designed with the letters and numbers of a QWERTY keyboard to represent an article on cyber warfare. Notice the grenade pin is out to represent the imminent threat of a major cyber-warfare explosion. For this illustration, I used vellum paper, pencil, Photoshop and Illustrator. I use Adobe Creative Cloud so I am always up-to-date with the latest Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign technologies.”
