Samantha graduated from The Art Institute of Portland in 2016 with a BFA in Media Arts & Animation. For the duration of her education, she was employed as an illustrator and designer for the Australian clothing company Living Dead Clothing.

In 2017, Nickelodeon hired Samantha as a background designer for the
Invader Zim TV movie, thus fulfilling her dream to pursue a career in animation. This gallery exhibit features a selection of Samantha’s background concepts, created for use in 2D animation and fashion design. Samantha finds inspiration in the works of Stephen Gammell, Naoki Urasawa and Zdzislaw Beksinski.
