Lisa Creed, design faculty member at The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham, a campus of South University, was on hand for the opening of the show, “Reflections,” at New Elements Gallery in Wilmington, NC.

“Reflections” includes Lisa’s minimalistic “Sea and Sky” seascapes and abstract works.  The paintings were influenced by her childhood in coastal Maine, where she often explored the natural coastline.

Lisa began her “Sea and Sky” series in 2004 as a way to preserve childhood memories of her grandparent's property, where she would run through roads, fields, and beaches that were free from development.
