The Art Institute of California – Sacramento Interior Design Students Volunteer for W.E.A.V.E.
August 20, 2015
(California, August 2015) The Interior Design Bachelor of Science program at The Art Institute of California – Sacramento, a campus of Argosy University, has had the honor working with W.E.A.V.E (Women Escaping A Violent Environment) organization in the past, and on August 4, the students volunteered their time in furnishing, decorating and merchandising seven new shelter apartments for the organization’s safe housing program. The furnishings were a donation from Lennar Homes, one of one of the nation's leading residential builders. Also supporting the project were members of the Sigma Chi fraternity from Sacramento State.
W.E.A.V.E. is a non-profit organization headquartered in mid-town Sacramento. Their mission is to provide support and services to individuals who have experienced physical and/or emotional abuse, or have been victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking.
Thanks goes to instructor Marosi White and to the entire Interior Design department for continuing to make an impact in the local community.
