My dog photography was created for Portfolio III and Portfolio IV classes. My women's portraiture was created for my Internship course and for Location class.
Please explain what we are seeing in your pieces and (MEDIA USED, TECHNOLOGY, OR SOFTWARE USED) how you went about creating them.
For my dog images, I photographed my subjects both indoors or outdoors based on the energy level of the dog. For the indoor photo-shoots, I set up a backdrop and used an ottoman for seating. For the outdoor photo-shoots, I used natural light and a Speedlight inside a Rapid Box to light my subjects. I used a Nikon D810 with multiple lenses (35mm, 50mm & 85mm) but mainly used a 24mm - 70 mm lens. The dog portraits were edited using Photoshop.
For my women's portraits, I used a Nikon D810 with varied lenses (50mm, 85mm & 24mm - 70 mm lenses). I photographed my subjects both indoors and outdoors. For the images taken outdoors, I used a reflector and ambient light to light my subjects. For my indoor photo-shoots, I used a Einstein 640 strobe light with a large octobox to light my subject. I often included a large white foam core board as a reflector to help fill in the shadows.
For my water studio portraits, I built a portable water tank by using pvc pipe, connectors, plastic painter's tarp and water. I photographed my subjects from an aerial angle using a ladder. I used only natural light and a reflector to light my subjects. All images were edited in Photoshop.
