Ai California—San Diego GET Creative offers Advanced Culinary Specialist Program

Five culinary specialists from the Navy Region Southwest in San Diego and five culinary specialists from Navy Region Japan joined the GET Creative continuing education team at The Art Institute of California-San Diego, a campus of Argosy University, for a two-week advanced culinary training. The two-week intensive training taught the foundations of the culinary curriculum, such as creating sauces and stocks from scratch and advanced to creating fully plated dishes. The teams learned essentials to enhance their current skills and worked with Chef Instructors from The Art Institute of California—San Diego in the professional kitchens. On the last day of the workshop, the teams created a buffet lunch with dishes like Chicken Chardonnay and broccoli with hollandaise to present to their senior command. The Navy plans on collaborating with the GET Creative continuing education programs more in the future.
