San Diego Campus Holds Creative Workshops for Girl Scouts
June 9, 2017
Recently, The Art Institute of California—San Diego, a campus of Argosy University hosted its third workshop for Girl Scouts.
The events began after attending the Girl Scout national conference in 2016. Today, The Art Institute of California—San Diego hosts workshops open to all San Diego Scouts, as well as individual troop workshops hosted through the school’s “GET Creative” program.
This spring’s workshops included pretzel and cookie making for culinary, color wheel and floor planning for interior design, board game design, a lesson in recording for audio production, and paper costume design for fashion. Over 75 girls were in attendance for the evening event, representing over 35 troops. Each participant earned a patch for completing the workshop. The Art Institute of California—San Diego plans on continuing the tradition by an annual workshop for the Girl Scouts.
