San Diego Campus Holds Workshop for Girl Scouts
December 20, 2016
The Art Institute of California—San Diego, a campus of Argosy University, recently welcomed 107 Girl Scouts to campus for the third Creative Art Workshop series. The troops participated in workshops focused on culinary, fashion design, interior design, graphic design, or photography.
With the help of faculty members including Alma Ponce, Ymissera Eddington, Joseph Castiglione, Shanna Belyk, Michael Lynch, Pamela Calore, Kurt Lechner and Kathie Taylor, and Tricia Murray, the event allowed the scouts to experience a small taste of life as a designer, chef, or photographer.
Each scout was presented with a patch from their designated workshop by the Provost, Dr. Matthew Hubbs. The school plans to offer a fourth set of workshops in April 2017, presenting a different experience in design, culinary, media, or fashion for San Diego County Girl Scouts.
