San Diego Campus Hosts Battle of The Chefs
The culinary practicum class at The Art Institute of California—San Diego, a campus of Argosy University, hosts and organizes campus and community events. This year, the class created appetizers and beverages for a gallery opening on campus, sponsored a blood drive, and held Battle of the Chefs. At the event, each participant was given a mystery basket and was permitted to have a current student or alumni assistant help with prep work. The event was open to the public.
The event featured Chef Mark Blaauboer, culinary program chair, as well as faculty member Chef Kurt Lechner and Chef Rudy Kloeble. Chef John Miller, executive chef of Bistro West and a past faculty member, also took part. Chef Kloeble was crowned event champion.
