San Diego Campus Participates in Wonderspaces Exhibit
August 31, 2017
Recently, The Art Institute of California—San Diego, a campus of Argosy University joined the experimental ‘pop-up’ art exhibit Wonderspaces. The school’s director of campus relations, Lauren Loeffler coordinated a partnership with Wonderspaces that allowed several of the school’s digital photography students to capture the opening and exhibit.
Wonderspaces presents 16 unique experiences, ranging from room-sized installations to virtual reality films. It includes works previously enjoyed at Burning Man, Sundance Film Festival, and South by Southwest. Wonderspaces brings experiences in art to the mainstream population who may not have the opportunity to visit places that normally host these types of exhibits. The event takes experimental art on the road and creates a ‘pop-up’ museum, with a limited opening.
The included event images were taken by Rhittyaa Hang, who is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Graphic & Web Design.
