Alta Vista High School is a continuation school, and it lacks funding for its culinary program. Matthew Sloman, high school representative, The Art Institute of California—San Diego, nominated Alta Vista instructor Donna Penney for the “Adopt a Classroom” check that will be used to support the school’s culinary education classes.

In addition to Sloman, Lauren Loeffler, Director of Campus Relations, The Art Institute of California—San Diego was on hand for the check presentation.
