The Art Institute of California—San Diego, a campus of Argosy University, has joined the Multi-Agency Feeding Taskforce, sponsored by the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services. The county brought together 25 outside agencies to develop a feeding taskforce, which would be activated during a large-scale emergency situation.

During an emergency, the county and the American Red Cross work together to ensure that San Diego has proper support. The Art Institute of California—San Diego joined a tabletop exercise in April 2017, where the initial structure and organizational chart for the taskforce was developed. The taskforce was then divided into units, which will meet on a monthly basis to develop action items.

The Art Institute of California—San Diego has identified itself as a production unit during an emergency situation. The school could then assist in supporting the feeding process via the campus’s five
