The Art Institute of California Fashion Design Students Showcase "It" Factor at Annual Show

WHO: The talents and designs of The Art Institute of California— a college of Argosy University, San Diego Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing & Management students will be on display at the school’s 4th Annual “It” Fashion Show.

WHAT: One of its most highly anticipated events of the year, The Art Institute of California— San Diego fashion show theme is Geo Vue-Envision “IT” - a blend of geometry and geography with the designer’s inspiration coming from a Cubist art movement perspective.  Guests will see Picasso and Balenciaga reflected in modern-day fashion.

The student fashion designers will showcase their garments in four design categories: Swim/Lifestyle, Ready-to- Wear, Haute Couture, and Avant Garde.

Scholarships will be awarded to the four best designers by a panel of judges. The design categories include: Best in Show (The “IT” Design Award), Best Construction/ Most Technical (The Atelier Design Award), Most Creative (The Innovator Design Award), and Most Marketable (The Trendsetter Design Award).

Celebrity guest judge will be Gordana (GOGA) Gehlhausen, a Project Runway Season 6 and All Stars Finale participant.

WHEN: Friday, May 25, 2012, 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
