San Diego Culinary Bowl

The competition is open to students and professionals competing in both hot and cold food categories. In addition to the hot and cold food competition, also will have a salon category to include tallow sculpture, chocolate sculptures, sugar sculptures, bread displays and chilled artistic food platters. Sign up today!
The purpose of the event is to join chefs and culinarians from Southern California, from professionals to students to participants in a sanctioned ACF culinary competition, and get feedback from certified master chefs, earn professional recognition, collaborate, network, and potentially earn official ACF competition medals for prizes.

WHAT

The San Diego Culinary Bowl event is an ACF sanctioned – American Culinary Federation competition where individual chef competitors compete towards ACF standards. Competition judges listed below. Four judges are certified master chefs. - CMC

Competitors will be displaying work in primarily three categories.

1. Cold Displays – this includes chocolate and sugar sculptures, tallow (wax) sculpture, fruit and vegetable carving, cold platters, wedding cakes etc..

2. Hot food-cooking competition working with poultry or fish.

3. Hot or cold desserts.
