San Francisco Culinary Students Raise Money for Local Nonprofits

Culinary instructor Paul Glaviano and his students from The Art Institute of California—San Francisco, a campus of Argosy University, selected two charities to support as part of their senior culinary class. The students held fundraising events for which they created menus, sold tickets, and prepared the food. They then donated the proceeds of $600 to the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center and $500 to the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corp., which helps to build homes for low-income families living in San Francisco.
The students commented on how great it felt to give something back to those in need within their local community.
