(San Francisco, October 2015)  For the past five years Chef Mark Davis, culinary director at The Art Institute of California – San Francisco, a campus of Argosy University, has been a guest chef for Tractors & Truffles, a farm-to-fork event in Fallon, Nevada.  The event is hosted by the local visitors bureau and serves 120 VIPs from the surrounding community, blending farmers and socialites, government officials and community leaders, in a sit down five-course dinner. Chef Davis also displayed his ice sculpture talent.

The 6th Annual Tractors and Truffles event was held on Saturday, September 26, and featured local Slanted Porch Restaurant owner and chef, Steve Hernandez. Throughout the day attendees were able to tour local farms, taste beer and a special cantaloupe cocktail, listen to music by Leftover Cuties, and finish off the day with a hand crafted dinner prepared by acclaimed chefs, including Davis.

“Many local farms, wineries and arts are featured in this farm-to-dinner event,” said Chef Davis. “The menu is specially made for the day and prepared to showcase the best of Fallon’s culinary treats.”
