Danielle Palmer is a food service manager for Guckenheimer, a company that provides corporate dining services. She’s based in Pleasanton, California and oversees full service catering for ten employers. Each day involves providing breakfast and lunch for clients—and Danielle adds that the best part of her job is working with people and creating food.
She says that being able to multi-task is a critical part of her job. And Danielle is proud to be a strong manager that her employees trust and enjoy working for. Her creative inspirations include Alice Waters of Chez Panisse Restaurant and Julia Child.
Danielle, who in 2004 earned an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of California—San Francisco, says that her education taught her the business of food, from production to creation and organization. She recommends that current students keep learning. “Be open to every opportunity. There are lessons everywhere.”
